He Surfs, She Shoots

This isn’t a traditional couple photoshoot.I didn’t ask them to smile, kiss, or pose for the camera—because what I wanted to capture was how they are when they’re simply together.

They’re close friends of mine, and what I saw in them was a quiet rhythm, a kind of mature intimacy. Early mornings chasing waves. One surfing, the other waiting, photographing, watching from the shore.And they always wrap it up with fresh juice from a roadside stand they love.

I stayed at a distance—observing, witnessing, and pressing the shutter. These may be fragments. But to me, they’re fragments of something whole: a quiet kind of love.

這不是一組傳統的情侶寫真。我沒要求他們對鏡頭微笑、親吻或擁抱，因為我更想記下的，是他們在一起時自然發生的樣子。

這是一個我所熟悉的朋友，兩個人之間有著成熟、安靜的默契。早起、追浪、紀錄、等待，這樣的日常已經成為他們生活的一部分。在他衝浪的時候，她總是在岸上拍照、等他回頭望，然後一起去喝一杯果汁作為結束。

我不介入，只是陪著，看著、按下快門。這些照片，也許只是碎片，但在我眼裡，那些碎片正是愛最自然的樣子。
